When the Spectrum hosted its final hockey game in April of 2009, Comcast-Spectacor preserved portions of the ice sheet and melted it in two 55-gallon containers. The Spectrum hockey rink (melted ice) was shipped to Chicago, IL, where it was separated and preserved into mini, freezable drink coasters.
